The most important active compound of Agarikon is Agaricin, also known as agaric acid. This fungus is a white powder that is water-soluble and can be administered either topically or orally. Many pharmaceutical companies synthetically produce Agaricin, which is an anti-inflammatory, anhidrotic and parasympatholytic agent.
